Our curriculum is designed to develop well-rounded martial artists through progressive training in striking, forms, self-defense, grappling, sparring and traditional weapons.
At Kung Fu Academy of North Texas, students don't simply collect techniques or advance based on time. Our curriculum is designed to build skill progressively, with each level expanding upon the foundation developed before it.
Students build coordination, balance, strength, discipline and martial arts proficiency while progressing through increasingly challenging techniques, forms and applications.

Our broader system includes an extensive traditional weapons curriculum introduced progressively as students develop the control, mechanics and experience needed for more advanced training.
Punches, kicks, combinations, footwork, defensive movement and practical striking mechanics.
Empty-hand forms that develop power, coordination, balance, precision and understanding of movement.
Practical defenses, escapes, awareness and partner-based application of martial arts techniques.
Throws, controls, joint manipulation and grappling concepts influenced by Shuai Chiao and ChinNa.
Students develop timing, distance, composure and controlled application through MMA and partner work.
As students advance, they can train with traditional weapons including staff, broadsword, spear and more.

Our curriculum draws from both Northern and Southern Chinese martial arts, giving students experience with different movement strategies, ranges and technical approaches.
