Bill often describes Qi Gong as the "grandfather" of Tai Chi because it provides many of the foundational principles that Tai Chi is built upon. Qi Gong focuses on breathing, posture, gentle movement, and cultivating energy, while Tai Chi incorporates those same principles into flowing sequences of movement that also emphasize balance, coordination, and martial arts application. In our classes, you'll experience elements of both, creating a well-rounded practice that supports your physical and mental well-being.
Our Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes are designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you're looking to improve balance, reduce stress, increase mobility, recover from injury, or simply stay active in a low-impact way, you'll find a welcoming environment where you can learn at your own pace.
Whether you live in McKinney, Prosper, Frisco, or a nearby community, our classes are designed to meet you where you are, regardless of age or experience.
Not at all! Our classes are beginner-friendly, and every movement is taught step by step. Whether it's your first class or you've practiced Tai Chi before, you'll feel comfortable progressing at a pace that works for you.
Our Tai Chi & Qi Gong program is open to everyone. You do not need to be a Kung Fu Academy member or have any martial arts experience to participate.
Each class is approximately 45 minutes, providing plenty of time to learn, practice, and enjoy the benefits of Tai Chi and Qi Gong without feeling rushed.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Our classes are held on clean padded mats, so we simply ask that outdoor shoes be removed before stepping onto the training floor. Many students practice barefoot, while others prefer socks.
