Sifu Cory Gilbert has been practicing Kung Fu for over 20 years. His journey began in college when he needed to select a PE credit. Lucky for him, he selected Kung Fu and his true passion was discovered.
Cory enrolled at a local Kung Fu school in Farmers Branch, TX where he continued to train and eventually obtained his black belt. Cory is a natural teacher at heart and also discovered his love for teaching Kung Fu to others while at this school.
Eventually, Cory made his way to the Shaolin Wu Yi Institute in Plano, TX where he trained for many more years and obtained his second and third degree black belts. Cory was a dedicated instructor at this school which fueled his dream of opening his own school one day. With the wisdom and support of Master Travis Alschbach, that dream is becoming a reality.
Cory also has a passion for wellness and fitness. His hobbies have always centered around fitness. As a matter of fact, he and his wife met while training for triathlons. He looks forward to incorporating elements of fitness into the curriculum to help develop well-rounded martial artists.
